This is a smart, serif, and notably quite pretty beamer theme. It’s designed to be fairly customisable and dignified, but generally exists simply to offset the internet full of hideous ones. It’s based on an offering from Cameron Bracken, and I offer it with the same permissive license he did.

For a sample, download the sample.

Download

You may either download SmartSerif.tar.gz, which contains a Makefile, the style itself, and a quick sample, or browse the git repository.

Installation & Use

To use the theme, simply place it alongside your document (or install it along side the other beamer themes you have), then use it as you would any other beamer theme:

\usetheme[options]{SmartSerif}

There are a number of options, which are covered in the sample pdf, and the source for that presentation includes a few common combinations of options.

Infolab Mode

The theme comes with an ‘Infolab mode’, which uses the Lancaster University colours, and disables the background curve. This may be enabled by setting the infolabcolours option when using the theme.
